SAHIWAL -- Jeffrey Tambor was born in 1944 to working-class mother and father. Raised in California, he studied performing in high school, and later at San Francisco State University.
His earliest performing roles had been on stage, and he appeared in quite a lot of theatre productions earlier than turning his consideration to TV. Tambor acted in a succession of commercials, together with advertisements for Avis rental automotive firm.
