Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Faculty Preview
OLLI inspires people age 50 and up to take a fresh look at themselves, the future, their generation and the world of possibilities. This event is a great chance to meet faculty, discuss the best courses to match educational interests, meet members, learn more about OLLI and participate in building a learning community of seasoned adults who take joy in the joy of learning. OLLI’s stimulating and provocative courses, forums and interest groups are designed to challenge and inform as well as to animate creative expression.
Courses in the first spring session include National Galleries of Scotland taught by Maureen O’Brien DeGeller, The Birth of American Literature taught by Daniel Herman, Presidential Politics taught by Gerard Heather, The Future of Genetic Medicine taught by Moe Turner, Russian History: Ancient Times to 1825 taught by Richard Robbins, Women in Jazz taught by Dee Spencer, History of California from 1900 taught by Mark Sigmon, Writing: Cross Genre Memoir taught by Mary Winegarden and Bay Area Documentary Film taught by Michael Fox.
Members and staff will also celebrate the holidays and hold council elections during this event.
