The December 7 Morrison Artists Series concert featuring the piano duet ZOFO is featured on the cover of this month’s San Francisco Arts Monthly.

The Grammy-nominated ensemble will perform the world premiere of William Bolcom’s Primer and works by George Gershwin, Claude Debussy, Terry Riley, Christian Henking and Urmas Sisask.

The Morrison Artists Series is the longest running chamber music concert series in San Francisco, featuring superb, admission-free performances by some of the world’s most acclaimed ensembles since 1955. The San Francisco Chronicle writes: “indispensable.” The series is part of SF State’s Morrison Chamber Music Center, which is funded, in part, by a generous gift from the May Treat Morrison Chamber Music Foundation.

The center also provides educational opportunities to students and the community including lectures, master classes, artist residencies, mentoring and school outreach. Professor Richard Festinger is artistic director of the series, and the Alexander String Quartet serves as quartet-in-residence and directs the center’s instruction program.
