Alexis Coe

Coe has contributed to The Atlantic, Slate, Paris Review Daily, The Awl, the Toast, Los Angeles Review of Books, Vice, The Hairpin, Modern Farmer, Jezebel, BuzzFeed Books and many other publications. Before moving to San Francisco, She was a research curator at the New York Public Library.

Rodes Fishburne

For more than 10 years Fishburne has written for magazines and newspapers, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, and Forbes ASAP, where he was the editor of the Big Issue, an annual magazine of literary essays from leading writers and thinkers. Contributors included: Tom Wolfe, Bill Gates, Kurt Vonnegut, Muhammad Ali, Mark Helprin, John Updike, Elmore Leonard, E.O. Wilson, George Plimpton and the Dalai Lama.

Writers on Writing

The Creative Writing Department opens its Writers on Writing course to the public on Mondays this semester. Taught by Peter Orner, the course features faculty and visiting writers reading from their works and discussing their creative process.
