Jan Millsapps: Venus on Mars
Tuesday, October 2, 2012, 5:00 pm

Cinema Professor Jan Millsapps gives a multimedia presentation on her new novel Venus on Mars. It takes place in 1971 just as rocket scientists launch their first Mars orbiter in a determined attempt to find evidence of life there. At the book's narrative core, however, is a secret diary penned by a Victorian woman who observed the red planet through a giant telescope long before women were allowed to do such things. Free.
