“These women are all friends and colleagues of mine—We’ve been in the trenches together on many projects, and our collected IMDB firepower is considerable,” says Jackson, who recently won an Emmy Award for Best Sound Editing on the HBO film Hemingway and Gellhorn.
“Our intention is to make sound as a career path more inviting for more women, and we figured one way to do it is just to talk about what we do, how we started doing it and what skills might help people get a foot in the door.”
