ZZ Packer
ZZ Packer, SF State assistant professor of Creative Writing, was featured in The New Yorker’s 20 Under 40 Fiction issue in 2010 and has received an American Academy in Berlin Prize to complete her upcoming novel, The Thousands. In 2005, she won a Guggenheim Fellowship for fiction. Her debut short-story collection Drinking Coffee Elsewhere was selected by John Updike as a Today Show Book Club Pick. Packer earned her Master of Arts from Johns Hopkins University Master of Fine Arts from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She was a Stegner Fellow in fiction at Stanford University from 1999 to 2001.
Angela Pneuman
Angela Pneuman’s book of short fiction, Home Remedies, was published by Harcourt in 2007. Her stories have appeared in Best American Short Stories, New England Review, Iowa Review, L.A. Review, Virginia Quarterly Review and Glimmertrain. She works as a freelance writer in the wine industry, teaches fiction writing at Stanford University and is finishing her first novel.
