SF State’s best and brightest inventors and researchers are in the spotlight, winning the campus student research contest and soon advancing to the California State University-wide competition. This year three students from the College of Liberal & Creative Arts are featured.

Winners from the College of Liberal & Creative Arts are:

  • Trevor Myers’ product design project, "Improving the Eye-Drop Experience," addresses research that has shown medication errors and poor ergonomics to be problems with eye-droppers and their packaging. Myers is a Master of Arts candidate in Industrial Arts.
  • Joshua Freimark analyzes how to deal with bugs invading historical collections in his project, "Use of Integrated Pest Management in the Small to Midsize Museum of the 21st Century.” Freimark is a Master of Arts candidate in Museum Studies.
  • Eduardo Gonzalez’s research project, “Contextualizing Conflicts: Anti-AKP Protests in Modern Turkey,” examines social movements in democratizing countries, with a focus on Turkey. Gonzalez is an undergraduate majoring in International Relations and Political Science.

The Graduate Research and Creative Works Showcase takes place April 30 from 3 to 5pm in the Main Gym. The CSU-wide competition takes place May 1 and 2 at California State University, Bernardino.
