'The Lonely Candidate': Student Justin Phu Debuts CD

PACIFICA TRIBUNE -- Singer-songwriter Justin Phu recently released his second record, “The Lonely Candidate,” and it’s easily a multi-repeat listen. On it the Pacifican travels through genres which include: indie, folk, jazz, surf, pop rock and electronic. A graduate of Ocean Shore Elementary, 2007, and Terra Nova High School, 2011, Phu is studying broadcasting at San Francisco State University (SFSU) and working part time as a videographer with a company which specializes in wedding shoots. The musician’s most recent Pacifica gig was a performance at the Chit Chat Café in January. Over the past few months he's performed in an acoustic show and various open mikes at the SFSU venue, the Depot.
