Alum Pat O'Brien Named Marin County Interim Parks Director

SAN RAFAEL NEWS POINTER -- O’Brien has lived in Marin County for 24 years and has served as a governmental affairs consultant since his retirement from East Bay Parks. He has a Master’s degree in Philosophy from San Francisco State University. “I found that my background in philosophy helped me understand complex issues,” O’Brien said in a press statement. “My work experience has been grounded in all aspects of parks, and I find the interaction of people, issues and the protection of natural resources and providing for opportunities for the public to have access to outdoor recreation a most rewarding aspect to my career.”
