STAR DAILY STANDARD TIMES -- Jennings, an award-winning, 36-year veteran of KGO, is leaving behind her anchor duties, but will remain at the station. Starting in January, she will devote her time to producing and reporting special-assignment stories in the Bay Area and beyond. She will also continue as host of KGO’s Sunday public affairs show, “Beyond the Headlines.” “It’s been an extraordinary privilege to have your trust for all these years,” Jennings told viewers of Channel 7’s midday newscast. “I get to work with the best people in the business, so I feel very fortunate to continue my work in a different arena. “So, I’m not going to say goodbye. I’ll say so long for now. I’ll see you next time right here on ABC7 News.” Jennings, a graduate of San Francisco State University, joined KGO in 1979 as a night reporter. Her first job in journalism was handling radio traffic reports for KNBR radio.
