Professor deSoto to Speak at University of California, Riverside

UCR TODAY (UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, RIVERSIDE) -- The University of California, Riverside’s Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts continues the Inlandia Conversations at the Culver series on January 29. The series brings artists and authors together every other month for an intimate reading and discussion. Photographer and essayist Lewis deSoto joins the series on March 17. He is a professor of Art at San Francisco State University, and his work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the country for three decades. In “Empire,” deSoto’s just-released Heyday/Inlandia Imprint book, he explores his birthplace and ancestral Cahuilla homeland, the Inland Empire.
