Handel's Alcina

Join us for the richly textured, erotic and transformative journey to the island of Alcina. Our steampunk Alcina (aided by video projections) rules over her island kingdom with magical and sexual charms, drawing men to her realm, taking them as lovers and when done with them, turning them into animals who roam the landscape. In the end, this powerful enchantress transforms into a vulnerable woman, totally consumed and finally destroyed by love. In Italian with supertitles. Directed by Christine Brandes.
