夢幻午後:幾米在州大 A Dreamy Afternoon: Jimi @ SF State
Saturday, October 22, 2016, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Jimi 幾米 (English name: Jimmy Liao) is Taiwan's most renowned children’s book author and illustrator. He is the author of more than 40 books, and his work adorns Taiwanese postal stamps and subway cards. More recently, Jimi’s status as one of the country’s most beloved artists was paid homage to when the Nangang subway station in Taipei was entirely decorated with images from his books. While his many books by way of their colorful illustrations or monochrome drawings take the reader on magical journeys through marvelous dreamscapes, his work also probes into themes of urban alienation, friendship and our own mortality. Registration required. Free.
