'From Here To Hilarity,' Starring Former Professor John Bunzel

MOULTRIE NEWS -- Bunzel hasn’t always left them laughing during his long academic career, which included a stint as chairman of the Political Science Department at San Francisco State University during the campus turmoil of the late 1960s. There he became embroiled in the student-faculty strike and subsequent riots. He was catapulted into notoriety when he resisted the efforts of student radicals to shut down his class over a journal article he wrote urging that black studies programs have academic substance and be open to any students, not just blacks, which was a volatile issue at the time.
