Yehudi Menuhin Seminar for Chamber Music
Launched in 2003 to honor the great violinist Yehudi Menuhin’s association with San Francisco and SF State, this event advances the belief that music has the power to create understanding and transcend differences between people. Directed by Cyrus Ginwala.
The Menuhin Seminar and Galante Competition are presented with the generous support of these friends and donors to the SF State School of Music: the Jane Galante First Prize of $1,000 is awarded through a gift from the Joyce McLean Fellowship Fund for the Menuhin Seminar. The Jane Galante Second Prize of $500 is awarded through a gift from Norma Siani-Alston. The Jane Galante Third Prize of $250 is awarded through a gift from David and Judy Preves Anderson.
