Professor Kanigel to Lead U.S.Journalism Students to Kyoto for Cultural Exchange

JAPAN TIMES -- Rachele Kanigel, a fellow institute director and associate professor of journalism at San Francisco State University, and Harrison, a freelance journalist who has written for Reuters, CNN and Time magazine, will also visit Kyoto with the students to help with writing and interviewing. “We are hoping for students interested in journalism, and either Japan specifically or the idea of being an international journalist or correspondent” to participate in the program, Kanigel said. “There are interests, particularly among young people, in Japanese culture, so we are hoping to have students who are interested to (learn) more about Japan and Japanese culture.”
