Artists Emma Sulkowicz and Violet Overn discuss their work, including their new collaborative performance piece Rulers. Both have gained international notoriety for their audacious artwork condemning sexual assaults on college campuses. This lecture is part of the Northern California Women's Caucus for Art's F*ck U! In the Most Loving Way: A National Feminist Art Exhibition, featured artists curated by Tanya Augsburg, associate professor of Humanities and Liberal Studies. The exhibition examines how 52 feminist artists are responding to ongoing misogyny, homophobia and transphobia as well as patriarchy. It is on display December 17 – January 21 at the Arc Gallery, 1246 Folsom Street, San Francisco.
