Alum Cathy Sandeen Named Finalist for Chancellor of Minnesota State Colleges, Universities

ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS -- Sandeen, 61, has been in charge of Wisconsin’s 13 two-year colleges and extension programs since December 2014. She spent two years as a vice president with the American Council on Education and six as University of California Los Angeles’ dean of continuing education and UCLA extension. She was vice provost at UC Santa Cruz and held multiple positions over a decade with UC San Francisco. Sandeen holds a Bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University, Master’s degrees from San Francisco State and UCLA and a doctoral degree in communications from Utah.
