When in Rome ...
Friday, May 12, 2017, 7:30 pm
Out-of-control leaders, power-hungry women and lust-driven men! While it sounds like Washington, D.C., the Opera Workshop will bring to life the passions and trials of those in the highly politicized world of ancient Rome. Come hear the political movers and shakers active during the reigns of Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, Cesare, Nero and Tito. Fresh from their great success in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, students bring to life the works of Monteverdi, Handel, Mozart, Cherubini and Britten. Free.
