These video clips are the part of a series highlighting recent readings held by SF State’s Poetry Center and American Poetry Archives. Visit this website regularly for fresh poetic content.
On May 4, The Poetry Center hosted a reading with David Brazil, Rebecca Eland, Sara Larsen and Andrew Schelling. Brazil read “Tombstone Blues,” Eland read from Within the Hour (Plein Air Editions, 2016), Larsen read from Merry Hell (Atelos, 2016) and Schelling read a mixture of published and unpublished works. A conversation with the audience followed the readings.
Brazil opens the event with a short song and then performs his poem “Tombstone Blues.” Advisory: contains strong language.
After a brief introduction, Larsen reads from her book Merry Hell.
Schelling reads an outtake from his book on Jaime De Angulo, a short piece titled “That Which Is Is a Shell Floating on the Infinitude of That Which Is Not.”
