Professor Hogarth to Conduct Stravinsky's 'Rite of Spring' at Burning Man

SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE -- Dekkers, who got married at Burning Man two years ago to dancer Christian Squires, has created a “Rite of Spring” that will be performed there Aug. 30 as the sun sets on the desert playa. A live 35-piece orchestra, led by San Francisco State University Wind Ensemble and conducting teacher Brad Hogarth, will play Stravinsky’s bracing score, which will broadcast across the desert from an art car.
