EAST BAY TIMES -- Born in Hayward, raised in Oakley since age 8, Angela graduated from Freedom High School, and later Los Medanos College with an AA in real estate and San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism.
In 2010, she landed her first reporting gig in Joplin, Missouri.
“My purpose as a journalist is to deliver accurate, meaningful, real news,” said Greenwood. “There is no way I would ever put something on the air with my name attached to it, if I hadn’t triple checked the information or attributed it to someone else. I think that is so incredibly important.”
“I love helping people and I love shining a light on the good and bad things that are happening around us,” she added. “I like being informed and informing others. We all need news. I hope my viewers know they can put their trust in me, and what an honor it is to be able to deliver the news to them each and every day.”
