Jassen Todorov

Jassen Todorov won a 2006 Crystal Lyre Award, the highest honor for achievement in music and dance in his native Bulgaria. At age 26, he became the youngest musician to record all six violin sonatas of Eugene Ysaye. Todorov has also recorded Brahms’ three violin sonatas. Dubbed “a player to watch” by music journal The Strad, Todorov has played and taught master classes throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and the U.S. and garnered much acclaim for his intense, original musicianship. He has performed more than 200 solo recitals, at venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. He plays a 1778 Tomaso Eberle violin.

Todorov is also a visiting professor at Xinjiang Arts University, Xinjiang Normal University and the Qimingxing School of Music, China. An award-winning photographer and an active pilot, he holds a commercial pilot’s license and flight instructor certificate.

Ng Chong Lim

Hailing from Malaysia, pianist-composer Ng Chong Lim studied at the Royal College of Music in London under Frank Wibaut. He continued his piano studies with Professor Elza Kolodin and subsequently with Professor Beat Furrer at Universitat fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz, Austria, for music composition. He won the 1993 Malaysian National Piano Competition and prizewinner of the Royal Overseas League Competition and The Anthony Saltmarsh Junior Fellowship.

Ng has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in many international venues, with recent appearances at the Beethoven Complete Piano Sonatas Project in Singapore and the third Asian Grand Piano Concert in Seoul, Korea.
