“Getting a chance to look at these stories and these issues more in depth has been honestly one of the greatest learning experiences from my undergrad experience,” she says.
Student Malcolm Pinson discusses his reporting on gentrification in Philadelphia and a clean energy organization.
“I’ve noticed that most of my stories cover the grassroots [efforts], because I feel like a lot of change happens when the community wants a change,” Pinson says. “It’s different when one person just says we need a change, but if you can get the community involved, that’s how it could really happen.”
