Not in My Family: German Memory and Responsibility after the Holocaust

Roger Frie is professor and clinical psychologist at Simon Fraser University and affiliate professor of psychiatry at University of British Columbia. In 2018 – 19, he is serving as an associate member of the Columbia University Seminar on Cultural Memory.

Frie is a registered psychologist and interdisciplinary scholar in the fields of psychoanalysis, philosophy and history. He lectures and writes widely on historical trauma, cultural memory and human interaction and is a practicing psychotherapist. He is also editor of History Flows Through Us: Germany, the Holocaust and the Importance of Empathy (Routledge).
