SACRAMENTO BEE -- Early on, Glover was involved in a student strike at San Francisco State University in the ‘60s that led to the creation of a school of ethnic studies and a black studies department on campus.
“We were overwhelmed by it,” Glover said. “We were young people with all our idealism and at that particular point in time we were in the right place for something dynamic to happen.”
