Abbas Kiaorastami's The Wind Will Carry Us

Abbas Kiaorastami's acclaimed 1999 film follows an irreverent city engineer who comes to a rural village in Iran to keep vigil for a dying relative. In the meanwhile the film follows his efforts to fit in with the community and how he changes his own attitudes as a result. Hamid Naficy, the Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani Professor in Communication at Northwestern University, will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion.
