Julio Lemos studied with renowned musicians such as Guinga, Marcos Tardelli, Marco Pereira, Alencar 7 Cordas, Rogério Caetano, Nelson Faria, Henrique Pinto and Paulo Belinatti. Lemos discusses the development of Brazilian music and the top 20th-century composers and performers, covering Brazilian music roots (the mix of European and African music), choro and maxixe, samba and its variations, bossa nova, samba-jazz and contemporary Brazilian music.

Music students join Julio Lemos to perform Brazilian music, including songs from his recent album, “Julio Lemos Brasil Acustico.” Rebecca Rodrigues (vocals), Emilio Davalos (drums), Alex Farrel (acoustic bass) and Victor Lin (violin).
Julio Lemos
Lemos is a music professor at Federal University of Goiás and performs solo recitals and with several music groups. He has performed in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, French, Germany, the U.S. and China. His repertoire ranges the works of composers such as Villa Lobos, Radames Ganattali, Garoto, Guinga, Baden Powell, Astor Piazzolla, Marco Pereira and his own songs.
