Lecturer Jeff Saperstein Writes Letter to Editor of Marin Independent Journal

MARIN INDEPENDENT JOURNAL -- Ethnic studies have shown to improve the engagement and grades of minority students. As a member of the San Francisco State University faculty for 25 years, I can attest to the positive impact appropriate reference to minority authors, thinkers and political activists have on students. The focus should be on the positive contributions to our society that minority communities have made to California and the nation. There should be no place for the anti-Semitic polemic that has now been thankfully excised from the curriculum.
