Overview

Bestselling author CRISTINA GARCIA comes to Mrs. Dalloway's Bookstore on Tuesday July 18th, 7 p.m. to read from, discuss, and sign her new book Vanishing Maps. Cristina will be joined in conversation by CAROLINA DE ROBERTIS. The novel is a follow-up to Garcia's acclaimed Dreaming in Cuban that tracks four generations of the del Pino family against the tumultuous backdrops of Cuba, the U.S., Germany, and Russia in the new millennium.

Join us for a compelling evening with a live conversation between artist Kenturah Davis and filmmaker Tracy Heather Strain about the enduring influence of Janie Crawford's story and Hurston's legacy, with Professor in Creative Writing and Poet Tonya Foster moderating.
