POLITICO -- “While in college at San Francisco State University, I worked as an undercover store detective for the now defunct I. Magnin Store in Union Square. While my general fear of getting hit in the face prevented me from being good at arresting shoplifters, on the day after Thanksgiving in 1989, I did discover a bomb intended to start the store and, specifically, the fur salon on fire.”
