Repurposed Ceramics

My artistic goal is to express emotion and convey my struggles with social anxiety. Facing difficult circumstances, I began focusing my energy into art. Initially photography was a way to view the world differently and communicate the beauty of the often overlooked. As I have explored art forms, clay has become a powerful tool in both coping with societal challenges and creating connection with others. As I develop my skills and knowledge through the exploration of texture and form, I have begun transitioning from functional work towards more abstract expressive form which echoes prominent themes found in in my photographic art.

The pieces in this collection were created as part of an alternative project for Throwing on the Wheel due to the shelter in place.
