The College of Liberal & Creative Arts is proud to host an event with the American Council of Learned Societies. Please note separate registration for the presentation and reception is required.

When & Where: Monday, March 30, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at HUM 587. 

ACLS Grants Program Presentation - 2 p.m.

All humanities and social science faculty are encouraged to attend a presentation on Monday, March 30 at 2 p.m. by Dr. Christopher Thornton, head of ACLS grant programs and a national leader in humanities research funding, who will introduce the various funding opportunities at ACLS and provide tips for good grantsmanship. He will present for 45 minutes, leaving ample time for Q&A. Please register for the presentation.

ACLS Regional Reception - 4 p.m.

Join us at 4 p.m. for a conversation with Joy Connolly, President of the American Council of Learned Societies, about the current challenges facing academia and the humanities and social sciences. Light refreshments will be provided. Please register for the reception.
