There are two types of committee service in the College of Liberal & Creative Arts: (1) College of Liberal & Creative Arts committees and (2) College of Liberal & Creative Arts representatives on University-wide committees. The term range is given in academic years. Service on the committee ends in the spring semester of the last year of the term.

Description: The BRC is responsible for developing, reviewing, recommending, and publicizing the policies, principles, procedures, and guidelines that govern University-wide requirements for baccalaureate degrees; including establishing the policies by which courses proposed for inclusion in the GE program will be collected and reviewed by the initial certification committees. University Tenure and Promotions Committee (U.T.P.C.)

Description: Reviews candidates Working Personnel Action Files (WPAF) and recommendations for tenure and promotion made at departmental and college levels before making its own recommendations regarding tenure and promotion. View information information on U.T.P.C.

Term: 2 years
Representative(s): 1 person from the college is selected to run in a university-wide election
Eligibility: Nominee must be a Tenured, full Professor in the College of Liberal & Creative Arts with no administrative or review role, familiar with University Policy #S07-241, available during the full Academic Year with anticipated heavy workload (equivalent of .20) during the spring semester. 
Meeting time: Weekly during spring semester and irregular/when needed during the fall semester
Elected by: All College of Liberal & Creative Arts faculty to run in the University-wide election for one of two positions
