Avenir de la Vie
Overview
View the ingenious concepts invented by Product Design 2 students in the School of Design at San Francisco State University—an exciting collaboration between the SFSU Product Design and Gallery Exhibition students!
Product Design students created designs inspired by the works of Diébédo Francis Kéré, the 2022 Pritzker Architecture Prize Winner by tapping into Kere's extensive work on educational environments embodying the values of community-powered development and sustainable practice.
Avenir de la Vie was conceived, produced, and installed by students in the Design Gallery class, who have created an enchanting gallery "forest" of Eucalyptus trees to display the product designs. In creating the showcase, Gallery Exhibition students utilized recycled and sustainable materials, including discarded wood from the SFSU trash bins and eucalyptus branches scavenged from the surrounding campus forest!
Come view the work and celebrate these achievements with us on October 28 and November 4th!
