Join us for an exclusive pre-screening of the new TV series from acclaimed writer/director Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You)! The event is co-organized with SF State Associate Professor of Anthropology Dawn-Elisa Fischer. 

I’m a Virgo is a coming-of-age joyride featuring Cootie (Jharrel Jerome), a 13-foot-tall young Black man in Oakland, CA. On escaping his insular home, Cootie discovers the beauty and contradictions of the outside world he forms friendships, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol, The Hero (Walton Goggins).
