Dr. David Landy is serving as Acting Dean of the College of Liberal & Creative Arts, beginning in January 2026, with oversight of the College's academic, financial, and administrative functions.
He has been at San Francisco State University since 2009, including as a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy, Department Chair, and Academic Senator. He is the author of Kant’s Inferentialism and Hume’s Science of Human Nature, and has additional research interests the history of Modern Philosophy, especially the work of Mary Shepherd, and the history of Twentieth-Century analytic Philosophy, especially the work of Wilfrid Sellars.
